ear Circle: I am sending you another story. I want you to read the story and summarize it. I want you to tell me what you think the theme of this story is and what point you think the author is trying to make. What do you like about this story? If you don\’t like it, then what bothers you about it? What is the author of the story telling the reader about religion? How do you feel about what she is saying? What does the story have to say about the intersection of cultures and faith? You can take this essay in a number of different directions…you decide what is important in this story and then write about it. Again, please do not go on line and find out what critics or others have said about the story. Please read it with fresh eyes and make this paper your own. Please use your own words and fight it out with this story on your own. Again, typed, double-spaced and two or three pages or more. This paper is due on Tuesday, November 22 and if you are not in class that night for some reason, please send the paper by email before the end of the class. Thanks…and I look forward to reading these papers!
