By analyse the effect of mergers and acquisitions for several companies,estimate mergers and acquisitions activity hence operating performance of the firm. The research questions are: what is the effect of mergers and acquisitions to Chinese and UK companies? How did they performance after M&A period? Methods: use critical evaluation of existing literature and also the econometric analysis and financial ratio analysis. Data: data stream and Thomson ONE Banker.
