Part 2 Task

The final step of EHR selection requires that you provide an implementation plan to the chief executive officer (CEO) of Yorkshire Clinic. The implementation plan is detailed and identifies numerous steps that are required to implement the EHR. Mr. Magone has asked that your plan, at a minimum, include a turnover strategy that the clinic will utilize to convert from the paper-based record to the EHR and a training and test plan. He is aware that proper training is essential for the successful implementation of the EHR into Yorkshire Clinic and stated that the “wallet is open” in regard to training dollars. Mr. Magone also wants you to discuss security implications and a brief overview of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule in your presentation.
